The Extension Programmes of Indian Theological Seminary, offered under the Senate of Serampore College (University), are designed to make theological education accessible to a wider community. These programmes—Bachelor of Christian Studies (B.C.S.) and Diploma in Christian Studies (Dip.C.S.)—provide flexible, contextually relevant learning for lay Christians and people of all faiths who wish to deepen their understanding of Christianity while continuing with their regular responsibilities. Conducted through local centres across Tamil Nadu, the extension programmes enable students to study close to home and appear for examinations at nearby Senate-affiliated colleges or approved centers.
