Indian Theological Seminary (ITS), under the umbrella of Gilgal Gospel Mission, is committed to nurturing a spiritually vibrant academic community where theological learning and spiritual formation grow together. Guided by the Spiritual Formation Committee, campus life is intentionally shaped so that Scripture, worship, and prayer frame the rhythm of each day, enabling students to cultivate a deep personal relationship with God and a pastoral heart for ministry.
Spiritual formation at ITS extends beyond formal worship services and is woven into the daily life of the community. From early morning meditations to evening reflections on Godโs Word, students are encouraged to listen attentively to Scripture, respond in obedience, and depend on Godโs grace in every season of life. Regular opportunities for worship, prayer, and reflection create space for confession, thanksgiving, intercession, and renewed commitment to Godโs mission.
The seminary understands formation as holisticโshaping character, calling, and community. Through guided spiritual disciplines, fellowships, and pastoral care, students are supported in their emotional, relational, and spiritual well-being. Faculty, staff, and student leaders journey together as a worshiping community, modelling servanthood, integrity, and Christ-centred leadership.
Within this formative environment, students are gradually prepared for the realities of ministry. Classroom learning is integrated with lived spirituality, nurturing habits of devotion, discernment, and service that will sustain ministry in village congregations, urban churches, and cross-cultural contexts. An ethos of inclusivity and shared responsibility strengthens the community, bringing together women and men, teaching and non-teaching staff, and students as partners in Godโs mission.
Through this intentional life of worship, fellowship, and pastoral care, Indian Theological Seminary seeks to form spiritually mature, mission-minded servants of Godโrooted in Scripture, shaped by prayer, and equipped to serve the church and society with humility, faithfulness, and courage.
